This is Ayazma, a possible site for the next Olympics if held in Istanbul. The project aims to show a how part of the budget and resources orchestrated for a transient event can be utilized in the long term. In this way the legacy of the Olympics will leave behind a social housing complex with the memory of an Olympic Village. Right across the valley from the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, along a major road with a metro station at the corner is Keresteciler Carsisi, the lumberjack market. It stretches down to an extension of a system of valleys leading to the Kucukcekmece Lake, an area being developed with various luxury housing projects.
Each layer of settlement shows the density increasing uphill as the blocks get farther from the valley and closer to the metro station and other industrial and retail functions close to the main road. Downhill there is an increase of recreational "green" spaces and sparser buildings.
